River Wharves
River Wharves will be your new favourite riverside destination.
Visit for an afternoon family picnic or plan a community event in the space, there are many features to suit any occasion including:
- Shared pathway and grassed areas
- A large 50 metre pavilion that was built using reclaimed timbers from the previous 100-year-old Seafresh Warehouse
- Activity shelter and stage area
- Comfortable seating areas
- Ample on street parking on River Street
- Toilet amenities
The entire site is available to book, or you can select single areas within the public space.

If you have a food truck and would like to trade from our prime waterfront location, download the expression of interest form below.
Static vending permit fees and park booking fees will be waived for all River Wharves bookings until June 30, 2027.

Fitness, recreational providers and community groups can book the River Wharves spaces for free on a trial basis until June 30, 2027.

Available Spaces
Area 1 – Food Trucks 
This area provides three available Food Truck trading locations as part of the no-fee Food Truck Trial until June 30, 2026
Area 2 – Grassed Area 
Riverfront Grassed area, approximately 40m long 8m wide.
Potential uses:
- Fitness classes
- Community activities
Area 3 – Pavillion 
An under covered Pavillion, approximately 50m long by 8m wide featuring multiple seating options, stage, featuring lighting and open concrete areas.
Potential uses:
- Food trucks - (Individual or Group bookings)
- Community events
- Arts activities
- Dining Experiences
- Music Activities
Area 4 – Activity Shelter 
The activity shelter is a shaded area approximately 20m long by 8m featuring seating options, a clambering structure and a vibrant mural. This area is conveniently positioned beside the public toilets.
Potential uses:
- Kids activities
- Small fitness classes
